Bluberi Games , a prominent company in gaming products and technology, is broadening its offerings to Canada, starting in Alberta due to its collaboration with Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC).
On April 4th, AGLC announced that all casinos in the province will incorporate Bluberi’s gaming options, featuring some of its standout titles like Devil’s Lock and Rocket Rumble. They highlighted that Bluberi’s extensive background in the United States will facilitate an 'effective expansion' into the Canadian landscape. The games are expected to be installed across Alberta's casinos in the spring.
“Players in Alberta are eager for the newest and most sought-after slot games, so it's thrilling to welcome Bluberi Gaming, a manufacturer from Las Vegas, to enrich our casino and racing entertainment centers,” stated Steve Lautischer, Executive Vice President of Business Development at AGLC. “Their superb slot offerings not only elevate the gaming experience but also align with AGLC’s commitment to fostering a socially responsible gambling environment.”
AGLC plans to partner with Bluberi to ensure that GameSense’s responsible gambling tools are incorporated seamlessly during the installation, promoting healthy gambling practices among Albertans. This includes measures like budgeting limits and check-in activities. GameSense advisors remain accessible at every casino in Alberta, ready to assist patrons with questions regarding responsible gambling.
Based in Las Vegas, Bluberi has already established a foothold in Canada, with multiple game development studios across North America, including locations in Quebec and New Brunswick. The New Brunswick studio in Moncton, known as Pixel Jam, was founded in 2023 and is under the leadership of seasoned game designer Frank Leger, who boasts over 17 years of experience.
Bluberi describes itself as an intersection of gaming and gambling, constantly striving to create player-focused slots through a dedication to “prioritizing quality over quantity in game design,” according to Chief Product Officer Mike Brennan.
The revenue generated from gaming activities in Alberta contributes to the provincial government’s budget to support essential programs and services. According to AGLC, gaming activities produced a remarkable revenue of $1.5 billion for the province’s general fund in 2023.
