As of the 1st of November, the Curaçao Gaming Control Board The GCB will be handling applications for sub-licences to ensure proper registration.
The entire validation process for registration is expected to take approximately 15 days before receiving approval from the GCB.
Verification process
To register for a sub-licence, applicants must complete five essential components on the GCB portal: registration, account management, licence oversight, ticketing, and gaming applications.
A completely validated account means that the GCB will provide an authorization letter and an official email address that is exclusively granted by the gaming authority in Curaçao. This will lead to the complete establishment and ownership recognition of the registered business.
If the GCB requires additional documentation, applicants will have a period of six months to submit the necessary materials.
What is the rationale behind the introduction of this process?
The need for full registration of sub-licences arises from the upcoming National Ordinance for Games of Chance (LOK) , which is set to come into effect shortly. This ordinance will enable authorities to revoke or suspend licences and to create new gambling regulatory bodies.
